Busuanga island

Palawan’s southest island Busuanga has became very popular destination because it’s nearest island Coron.
Coron islands most popular sightseeing is Kayangan lake and there’s a lot of beautiful lagoons inside this limestone island. Coron island is owned by natives and they collect entrance fees of every tourist visiting their amazing island. There’s 13 lakes around Coron and only two of them are open to public, Kayangan lake and Barracuda lake. Those attractions tempt about 300 visitors in a day to visit this island during snorkling trips. Next blog post will be all about it and now I continue to praise Puerto del Sol resort.

Actually we didn’t book just a room but a Villa! Whole house with own hammock pavillion with mediterranean vibes. This private Villa was 80‚ā¨ for a night when it was booked via Agoda.

Beacause of resorts remote location our restaurant options were quite limited. We ate every day at our restaurant and luckily food was amazing! Even western food was good, not to mention Philippines cuisine.

From Coron town to Puerto del Sol

From Busuanga’s airport we decided to take minivan to Coron town (150P) first, because minivans to Puerto del Sol were 2500P one way. Puerto del Sol is 37km from Coron town and you can take your own tricyckle for 1000P. It takes about 1hour. Also there is public busses and minivans for 150P. Last day we were lucky and shared tricyckle ride with few locals and paid only 50P to airport!

  • Resort has own Divecenter and kayak for guests
  • All snorkling trips are arranged via Coron town, so you have to go first to village. It would be smart to stay few nights in Coron town to see all these attractions, after that you could enjoy quite and peace far away from town.
  • Private island hopping trips from resort were about 100‚ā¨. So quite expensive.
  • You can also rent a scooter because roads are very good.busuanga16 (1 of 1)
